This tiny little sprout, believe it or not, will one day be one of the tallest trees in the world. It’s a baby redwood tree. Not more than a foot tall at the moment. At its peak, a redwood tree can grow above 350 ft. He’s got a lot of growing to do. Redwoods grow 6 or more feet in a single season.
We’ve got a lot in common with a redwood tree. A redwood tree needs water and nutrients from the soil. We need food and water. A redwood tree needs sunlight for photosynthesis. We need sunlight too, to create vitamin d. Redwood trees need a lot of time to grow. Many of the oldest trees are two thousand years and older.
We need time to grow and mature. And we have a connection to the trees and the forest. We escape the heat of the day underneath its canopy. Are inspired by its incredible beauty.
